Ok, Ryzen 2700X (8 threads) 2x 1080s.

The Ryzen gets up around 650ish at times which is in line with what xmrig does ( a bit slower if you factor in xmrigs max results)
The 1080s are what you'd expect. 550ish hs without ohgodpill 650 with on xmr.

I5 7400 got me 108 average on 3 threads while mining with GPUz, I tried using GPUz and it gave me pretty much same thing as the minergate GUI version however I think it is a few more hashes with i5 7400 :p

Ran the xFast Miner on my laptop using CPU Mining, and compared it to the GUI Miner running on another slower CPU.

as you can see, its running slower than GUI Miner running on i3

The i5 laptop is using 8GB of RAM running 798 MHz.
The i3 desktop is using 16GB of RAM, 982 MHz.

Maybe faster RAM Speed makes higher Hash/s?

Thanks

I think the reason is the lower number of threads on i5 CPU vs # of threads in GUI miner, 2 vs 4.
Just add the number after the coin ticker in the command line, like this:

Code: Select all

./minergate-cli -u example@gmail.com --xmr 4

P.S. RAM speed has almost no effect on the CPU-based mining process, cuz the miner will use your CPU cache in 1st place.
P.P.S. Optimal number of threads for XMR is the number of your CPU cores or cache divided by 2 (i.e. 8 mb cache = 4 cores = 4 threads).
P.P.P.S. Laptop CPUs are much worse than regular PC ones.

Question,
The New MinerGateX CLI can't detect my GPU's but the older version can. What could I be doing wrong?

1. i7-7700K, 32GB RAM, GeForce GTX 1060 6GB & GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost 2GB
2. Windows 10 v1809
3. XMR

Hello everybody
Pedro Amaiz from Lisbon called me
I have little time as a miner,
I would like the help of you who are experts
I have um rig with 03 graphics rx580 sapphire nitro 8g
At the moment I have only been able to get 2.0 kh / s out of it
and in the youtube tutorials there are people who for each one manage to get between 900 h / s to 1100h / s
me to achieve those 2.0kh / s and had to accelerate with overclok and I would like help because I think something is doing wrong that improve performance ..

"I'm Lovin' it!" - The new miner is better than MacDonalds!

I average 190 H/s when there's nothing else running. Before, the old miner never averaged more that 80 H/s. It would get as high as 145 H/s but fall below 100 H/s within minutes and never recover. This new one will drop down to 155 H/s or so then back up to 190 H/s for me and stay at 190 H/s on average. It peaks at 195 H/s.

As far as I can tell, the improvements really are good. Well done Minergate team.

Regarding the numbers on the screenshot. The dashboard data is averaged every 15 minutes. How much time have passed since you've started the test and made that screenshot?

That's strange, have you tried to just run the mining without using "-l" argument?
I suggest installing the latest drivers from here: https://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/138567

Also, please specify which software version you've downloaded, Legacy or not?
It's possible that the legacy version of the xFast miner can't see the GPU with the latest drivers installed.

Please specify the GPU that you have used. If it is AMD, I suggest you install a stable version of drivers (not the latest ones!) from here:

On several different PC's we see xFast v1.0.1 stops mining. No errors, it just stops mining. It is opened in an Administrative command prompt and ran manually. After this happens, the PC needs to be restarted or even shutdown before it will mine again.
