Mining Bitcoins

Postby MODChase » Tue Apr 14, 2015 11:42 pm

I see information online about minergate and bitcoin. I am running the 64 bit Minergate on Windows 7. How can I mine Bitcoins [BTC]? I see many other choices but Bitcoin does not show up on the miner. It is checked in the "view" dropdown.

I unchecked it, checked it again and still nothing. Online it shows up, but it just shows inactive.

You can mine bitcoins with some alternative miner, not minergate. Just using our settings.
It is unprofitable to mine bitcoins with your home PC now. ASICS are needed.

Unlike -J in SA33902, I don't see the BTC in view, no box, can't check.
But then I read your reply, so, did Minergate had BTC option before successfully? and that no Minergate miner don't work/have BTC mining?

Minergate mining app doesn't have a btc mining. It is unprofitable to mine btc with home PC, so btc in Minergate app is useless.

Unfortunately, no btc in Minergate GUI app. The difficulty of bitcoin network is too high for PC mining.

Okay, so I got an ASIC LItecoin miner and it is asking me for a pool an address and a password. I assume I am supposed to use the software that came with the miner (LKController)
1. What do I put for Pool1, Pool1user and Pool1pass?
2. Do I enter anything under my minergate miner in the pools section?
3. If not, what is that section for?

Thanks Chase.

adding to the questions about an ASIC USB miner that I got, is there a way to tie it in so it will add to my existing LTC balance I show online? I'd love to get to those funds if it were possible to.
Thanks and let me know the info.

The FAQ only has the stratum, but it does not have the login or password (if any or do I leave it blank?).

So, without an ASIC is totally impossible to mine BTC?

Hello alltogether
I'm mining XMR on Minergate for a while and i recently bought some BTC hashpower. At the moment, im running two U3 on Slushpool with about 140 - 150 GH/s. I would like to point them to Minergate to compare the earnings.

Now im wondering about the small pool hashrate...
Whats about the cloud power? Is it only not visible or is it operating on diffrent pool?
Can someone tell me something about the average time between blocks?
