If I could mine Ethereum on the two R9 270's, I would. But they don't have enough GPU memory. Starting from a few months ago, you needed more than 2GB of GDDR5. So I'm mining CryptoNight on them.
Using Minergate's GUI application gives me far lower hashrates on every algorithm/processor compared to using third-party mining software.

Also I forgot:

CryptoNight (Monero/Factom):

Code: Select all

GPU: Radeon R7 260x
Vendor: Gigabyte
Model: the one with the single big fan and giant heatsink
Memory amount + type: 1GB GDDR5
GPU clock: 1300 MHz
memory Clock: 1500 MHz
Hash rate Cryptonight: 215 H/s
miner + version: Claymore CryptoNote GPU v9.7 beta
additional launch parameters (if any): -a 1 (algorithm 1)
OS: Windows 10 64-bit
Driver Version: Radeon 16.5.2.1

I also think it would be really helpful if the Minergate application launched third-party mining software instead of using its own algorithm. More rewards for miners and the pool.

If your nVidia card is a newer v10 (recommend 1070) then some newer faster miners, like xmrMiner https://github.com/xmrMiner/ that rely on the new nVidia CUDA driver https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-downloads may be best. FYI, When running the CUDA install, uncheck everything except the CUDA driver itself as it also tries to install outdated nVidia graphics card drivers.
